Brian Nisbet is the bald & bearded half of the entity known as 'GTO'.
No, not an anime series that's big in Japan, rather a call to arms, or a sentence of wisdom in times of need, 'Go To Ops'.
Back when Brian started his involvement in the Discworld Conventions we just called it 'Ops', but apparently it was rebranded at some point in an effort to boost consumer confidence and synergetically enhance your convention experience. Or alternatively we just liked the sound of it.
Anyway, this will be Brian's fifth Discworld con behind the Ops desk and his, er, many-eth on a con committee. Yes, he's been doing this for a long time and no, he isn't as old as he looks.
What else is there to say?
He's Irish, likes cider, can never play too many games or attend too many conventions and he has found that one should always have a Dutchman by one's side in moments of stress.
That or a big stick, either way is good...
