"Kaffee Klatch
" is derived the German phrase "Kaffeeklatsch" and is defined by Merriam-Webster as:
an informal social gathering for coffee and conversation
from Kaffee coffee + Klatsch gossip
In Discworld Convention terms, it is a small group chat with one, or more, of the convention guests. Sometimes even with The Man Himself.
Because these events are very popular and the emphasis here is on the word "small
", entry is by ticket only with tickets awarded to lucky conventioneers by means of a lottery at the Convention itself.
So if you think that this event is your cup of tea coffee, make sure that you get your name on the list [1] for each Klatch that you would like to attend. Then cross your fingers and keep an eye out for the list of lucky winners.
