The Maskerade
The Discworld Convention Maskerade is the fan's fashion show. It is your chance to show off your costume making skills to the rest of the membership and to our carefully-selected panel of Judges (including the Man Himself).
The prize? Well, apart from eternal glory and everlasting fame [1], you can win the care of a very, very coveted silver Discworld model for a year if you are voted "Best in Show".
But, as this is a Discworld event, it is not simply a "walk down the catwalk and do a twirl
" show. No, it is a little flashier than that and we encourage our entrants to think up some little routine to show their costume in the correct context. This may be strutting your stuff to a bit of rock and roll as The Band With Rocks In, sneaking across stage to sinister assassin music or even reciting a humorous monologue as your favourite character.
