Discworld Convention Membership Cap

As we near the end of 2011 we're also nearing the end of open
membership for the Discworld Convention 2012. The cap for the event is
950 and we've just passed member number 916. Sign-ups on the website
will work until we reach 930. At that point each membership must be
explicitly oked by the membership team before you can check-out and
guarantee entry to the con. After membership 950 is sold, we'll start
a waiting list and people will be informed in order of any memberships
that come up.
We hate to think that people who want to come to the con can't, so
we'll do everything we can to help, but space in the hotel and the
atmosphere of the event are limiting factors on how many attendees we
can fit. On the upside, this is the largest ever cap for the Discworld
Convention, so we really hope that everyone who wants to come will be
able to join us in August. However, if you were wavering over buying
your membership for 2012, now is the time to decide!
