Beth Warner

Beth was a latecomer to the Discworld discovering the books for the first time in 2004 but she quickly caught up with everyone else and has never recovered. She wanted to attend the 2006 con but was doing something stupid like going to China and so signed up as an associate member (where you get to pay the fee but not have any of the fun, she’s a bright one).

She came alone with no carer to the 2008 Con and has been addicted to and embraced by the Discworld family ever since. Not in a stalker way but in a warm fuzzy “Isn’t this fun?” kind of way, mostly. She dipped her toe into being part of the concom at IDWcon and finding that the toe survived has decided to dip the rest of herself.

She is an artist and designer and has donated and will continue to donate paintings and drawings to various Discworld Convention charity auctions as people actually bid on them. No one is more surprised than she is about that.

She is a native Texan who has been living in India for the last seven years but recently came to live in fair but damp Britain. She became a granny for the first time this past year and this qualifies her fully to sing her version of the Hedgehog song (a lament) in public and to have a drink and another drink, a whiskey please if you’re buying but only if she’s off duty.
